Hourly Compensation: $17-$19/hr
Schedule: 7 PM - 7 AM (Flexibility to work weekends and overtime)
Position Overview:
Identify, and provide parts to maintenance or production personnel. The employee is expected to utilize several computer systems in order to search work orders, issue parts/materials, and to find additional information related to the part or situation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal departments to accurately assess customer needs and establish parts priority.
- Assist with the unloading, receiving, and verification of materials and parts.
- Accurately identify parts and coordinate with appropriate personnel or departments for material pickup and distribution.
- Properly store and organize materials in designated inventory locations.
- Research historical inventory movements, locations, and transfers to determine root causes of discrepancies or issues.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of corrective actions related to inventory control.
- Conduct inventory audits at defined intervals to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the stock management system.
- Provide support to other parts personnel and on-campus warehouse locations to ensure efficient service to internal customers.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or G.E.D certificate.
- Basic understanding Mechanical and/or Electrical parts knowledge.
- 1 year of Inventory experience preferred.
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Ability to push, pull, or lift heavy objects and/or machine parts with or without assistance.
- Ability to work with scanning equipment and online software.
